Fire Features & Structures
Fire pits, outdoor fireplaces, pergolas, pavilions and gazebos that make a space a destination.
The features that make an outdoor space worth staying in are the ones people gather around — a fire, and something overhead. Fire pits, outdoor fireplaces, pergolas, pavilions, and gazebos are what turn a nice patio into a real destination, and we build them into the plan rather than dropping them on top of a finished space.
On the fire side, we build permanent, built-in features — stone fire pits and full outdoor fireplaces — set on proper base and built to real safety and draft standards, not kits that crack after a season. A fire feature done right becomes the anchor the whole space is arranged around.
On the structure side, pergolas, pavilions, and gazebos add shade, shelter, and a sense of a defined room outdoors. Built in cedar or matched materials, anchored properly, and sized to the space, they make an outdoor area usable in more weather and more hours of the day.
The key is designing these in from the start so they feel intentional — the fireplace framing a seating area, the pergola shading the kitchen, everything connected to the patio and lit for night. Bolted-on features always look bolted on; designed-in ones look like the space was built around them.
The result is an outdoor space with a center of gravity — somewhere the evening naturally collects — that stretches your usable season well past sunset and into the cooler months.
What’s Included
Built for Central Indiana
Why It Matters Here
In Central Indiana, a fire feature is what stretches the outdoor season into the cool spring and fall evenings, and a pergola or pavilion adds shade in the humid summer and shelter when the weather turns. We build both to stand up to freeze-thaw and real Indiana winters, anchored and based so they last, not seasonal kits.
Our Process
Design
We place the fire feature and structure where the space naturally gathers.
Base
Footings and base go in to hold structures and fire features safely.
Build
Fireplace, pit, pergola, or pavilion built to plan and to code.
Integrate
We connect it to the patio, seating, and lighting.
Frequently Asked
Wood-burning or gas fire features?
Both. We build wood-burning fire pits and fireplaces as well as gas features — we'll walk you through the trade-offs for your space.
Do pergolas and pavilions need permits?
Sometimes, depending on size and your municipality. We handle the details so the structure is built right and above board.
